Annual holidays

Two two-week periods in 2027.

Fourteen days each, Sunday to Saturday inclusive, mandatory across the whole industry covered by the Act.

Summer 2027

From Sunday, July 25 to Saturday, August 7, 2027, inclusive.

The 2027 winter break ends on Saturday, August 7, 2027 — 2028 opens with sites back at work.

Winter 2027-2028

From Sunday, December 19, 2027 to Saturday, January 1, 2028, inclusive.

The 2027 winter break ends on Saturday, January 1, 2028 — 2028 opens with sites back at work.

The why and how — vacation pay, keeping work going, making up the days — is covered on the construction holiday page.

The official document

The CCQ's annual calendar.

Every year the CCQ publishes a PDF "Calendrier de l'industrie de la construction": pay periods, card validity, administrative dates. Usually in the fall for the following year.

As of September 19, 2026, the 2027 edition of that calendar had not yet been published — the 2026 PDF is live on ccq.org, the 2027 one is not. Nothing is invented here: the dates on this page are the ones the CCQ already publishes on its holidays page, cross-checked against the APCHQ.

When the 2027 edition comes out, it will be the document to check for pay periods and administrative dates — the holiday and statutory dates are already fixed and will not change.
